This year's MERGE program will be held on the campus of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign on October 24 & 25, 2008. Participation in the program will be limited, and by invitation only. Travel, room, and meal expenses will be provided for invited participants.
The recruitment program will include:

• an overview of the graduate programs, faculty, and facilities available at Illinois
• a faculty interview
• information regarding the financial aid available at Illinois
• a workshop on the preparation of an application to graduate school
• an overview of the cultural activities available at Illinois
• an informal "get acquainted" party with current minority graduate engineering and chemistry students

Applications should be submitted as soon as possible by completing the online Information Sheet. Deadline for submitting an application is September 26, 2008.
