OFFERING A NO-OBLIGATION, ALL-EXPENSE PAID VISIT TO CAMPUS

The College of Engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign is consistently one of the top-ranked engineering colleges in the nation. With over 400 faculty members--more than 50 of which are members of the prestigious National Academy of Sciences, the National Academy of Engineering, or American Academy of Arts and Sciences--12 academic departments, and three interdisciplinary research laboratories, the college offers students opportunity for both depth and breadth of study.

As part of its effort to achieve diversity in its graduate programs, the college holds its Multi-Cultural Engineering Recruitment for Graduate Education (MERGE) program each fall. MERGE brings promising graduate school prospects from diverse cultures to the campus for an expense-paid, in-depth view of  the outstanding programs and facilities available for graduate study at Illinois. Previous MERGE programs have hosted over 570 students from 85 universities across the U.S. and Puerto Rico.
