From student government to intercollegiate athletic programs, individuals may select from a wide array of social, recreational, and cultural programs. The following organizations operate within the MEP:

American Indian Science & Engineering Society (AISES)
National Organization of Black Chemists & Chemical Engineers (NOBCChE)
National Society of Black Engineers
Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE)

Women in Engineering
Established in 1995, Women in Engineering (WIE) is charged with increasing the number of women enrolling in the College of Engineering as well as providing services to support women working to complete undergraduate and graduate studies.

Engineering Advocates
Engineering Advocates sends University of Illinois engineering students to schools around the state and beyond. They carry the message that engineering is the "liberal arts education of the 21st century."
