  Study Abroad Opportunities - No Foreign Language Required to Apply!
IPENG and the campus Study Abroad Office will be hosting an information session on Friday, March 12 in room 140 Burrill Hall at 12:00pm.  This session is for engineering students interested in studying in the UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, and Hong Kong.  No foreign language experience is necessary to participate in these programs.  Pizza will be served.

Summer Study Abroad Program in Ulm, Germany
This program, taught in English, is designed for undergraduate students who wish to deepen their understanding of the European Union and spend several weeks at a German university.  You will participate in German language classes as well as special classes in the field of Electrical Engineering or Physics.  This program runs from June 1 - July 30 providing you the opportunity to meet German and European students.  Applications for this program can be found at the link above and  are due to the IPENG office by 5pm on Friday, March 19. 

Summer Internships in Finland
Two paid summer internship positions in Finland are being offered to qualified American students.  You must be at least 20 years of age and a U.S. citizen or permanent resident to apply.  Both positions are for Civil Engineering students in their 3rd or 4th year of studies or a recent graduate (within 2 years of graduation).  Positions are filled on a first come, first serve basis.

Study in Paris at France's Top Engineering Schools
ParisTech European Summer University offers students the opportunity to take intensive science courses in Paris with world-renowned researchers, attend management conferences with executives from Europe's biggest firms, learn French and visit industrial or cultural sites in an international context.  Courses are taught primarily in English.  Applications, which are due to the IPENG office by 5pm on April 2nd, can be downloaded from the ParisTech link above.

  Spend an Academic Year Studying in Germany
All engineering students are eligible to receive a $3000 living stipend and free airfare !  Students accepted to study in Munich also may receive an additional $2000 scholarship.  Studying at the Technical University of Darmstadt or the Technical University of Munich allows you the opportunity to fulfill technical requirements while immersing yourself in the German culture.  If you have at least two years or the equivalent of the German language and a 3.2 GPA, you can spend an academic year studying at one of these universities.  Applications are due by 5:00pm on March 15.
