For the Fall semester of 2001 (my junior year), I studied
abroad at the University
of Aberdeen, in Scotland.
Aberdeen (around
200,000 people) is the 3rd largest city in Scotland, behind
Glasgow (around 600,000)
and Edinburgh
(the capital, around 400,000).
While there, I took 4 classes:
- Computer Science 3008, Operating Systems
- Celtic 1013, Celtic Civilisations
- Accountancy 1007, Management Accounting
- Divinity and Religious Studies 1028, The Rise of Christianity
I lived in University owned and operated student flats
while I was there, called Hillhead
Halls. There were 5 other guys that were my flatmates.
It was around a 15-20 minute walk to the University of Aberdeen
campus, and about 35-40 minutes to the city centre.
See pictures from my travels.
See a financial planner showing
how much I spent, where and how.
