Dingle all the way

Located in Co. Kerry, in the southwest corner of Ireland, is the Dingle Peninsula.

Dingle is, I think, my favorite place in Ireland!

Visting with a friendly Dingle goat while we wait for the bike repair man.  In the meantime, Katie demonstrated what she'd learned in Modern Dance. Click below to see Katie do Britney's "Overprotected"!

View from the front door of the hostel, an 18th Century hunting lodge. It was lovely, despite the mice who invaded my backpack for leftover scones.

Fungi the Dingle Dolphin arrived in Dingle Harbor in 1984, and has remained ever since. Local lore has it that the fisherman who found him was named Fungus, and the name stuck.  He greets visitors by enthusiastically leaping alongside boats in the harbor, and we paid €10 (the trip is free if Fungi doesn't show up) to take a tour of the harbor and frolicked with Fungi for about an hour.   Click below to see video of Fungi!
