IPENG 2004: China Trip

This summer 14 students, including myself, went to China through the International Programs for Engineering program in the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign. We stayed at Tsinghua University for 6 weeks, then, for an additional two weeks, a portion of the students and I toured around China and visited Nanjing, Suzhou, Hangzhou, and Shanghai.

Throughout the course of the six weeks, we attended several lectures that spanned Chinese culture from Chinese history to popular modern Chinese music and also spent four days a week learning or improving our Chinese language abilities.

The programs total budget: Approximately $3000 USD.
