History Project

Engineering Hall,1900s

“We drove 10,000 miles in 11 weeks, visiting 15 western states. Gasoline costs were 30 cents per gallon and the very best motel cost $6 per night. Also, salaries for graduate engineers started at $400 per month,” wrote Dan C. Dees, BSCE MS 1957, and Joseph W. Guyton, BSCE MS 1957, recalling their cross-country trip on the 1955 C. C. Wiley Travel Award.

They and other College of Engineering alumni share their stories on the History & Reminiscence area of this site. Your contributions are invited.
