Your Turn

What is engineering?

Do you remember the moment you decided you wanted to be an engineer? When you signed up for your first engineering course, did you have an inkling that an engineer would do what you've done over the course of your career?

Every year, some students who would be excellent engineers choose other fields because they don't know what an engineer does. Even those who choose engineering are often unaware of the variety of options in the profession. We invite you to help broaden the understanding of what the engineering profession is by sharing insights on what inspired you, what you do now, and important contributions you have made to engineering.

To participate, complete the survey below.
All readers are invited to participate. Your responses will appear on the Engineering Outlook website.

College of Engineering alumni are also invited to share their stories for the ongoing College of Engineering History Project. These are posted on the History and Reminiscence area.

Please type in the fields below to answer some or all of the questions. Responses are limited to 100 words.
